Arise ("we", "our", the "app") is built to be private by design. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and why.
The answers you give during setup, the affirmations generated for you, your favorites, streaks, and settings are stored locally using Apple's on-device storage. Sensitive text is encrypted using the device Keychain and Apple's CryptoKit.
If you enable personalized AI generation, the app sends only the topics and preferences needed to write your affirmations to our secure generation service, which relays the request to an AI provider (OpenAI) to produce the text. These requests are used only to generate your affirmations and are never used to build an advertising profile. If AI generation is disabled or unavailable, the app uses a built-in curated library and sends nothing.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your card details. Apple shares subscription status with us so the app can unlock premium features.
If you enter a referral code, the code (not your identity) is validated against our database, protected by row-level security. This is optional and unrelated to your personal content.
If you allow notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device to remind you of your daily practice. We do not operate a push server that profiles you.
Name-linked identity, contacts, location, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking data.
Arise is intended for ages 13 and up. During setup, anyone who indicates they are under 13 is blocked, and any information entered on the previous step is discarded.
You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
